LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Concerned viewers of the popular Southwest Florida Eagle Cam are hoping for a quick recovery from a young eaglet that has been taken to a rehab facility.
Florida Fish and Wildlife officers, doctors with the Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW), and LCEC representatives worked together to remove one of Harriet's two baby eaglets from the nest Tuesday afternoon.
The 13-day old Eaglet 8, as it's called, somehow got tangled in a fishing line and is now healing at CROW on Sanibel. Since its leg is swollen, CROW will observe it and decide whether it should undergo rehab.
Stick with Four in Your Corner for updates.
An update from CROW on E8's condition. Sending healing vibes and positive thoughts for a quick recovery. We already miss...
