Dancing dolphins showing up in the Cape

Posted

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Marine animals are seen all the time in Southwest Florida, but what about on land?

The dolphins will be popping up around the Cape, and they aren't ordinary,  all were created by artists in Cape Coral.

The Cape Coral Art League is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and the art league president Suzzianne Sima says she thinks "Dancing with Dolphin" is sure to make some waves.

"We think it is not just a way for us to celebrate but also for the Cape. People do come and see the dolphins. So when we get them out there they will be visitors out there just to see dolphins, get their pictures taken."

The piece named 'Mr. Mango' will be heading to the Kindness Animal Hospital off Cape Coral Parkway. They fished out five grand to make him a permanent fixture there, with all proceeds to benefit the art league.

The treasure hunt will start when all of the dolphins are finished and the art league will make a map of them to visitors can track them around the Cape.
