STATEWIDE RESULTS

Lets take a look at some of the local candidates who were running in several primaries.

The Lee County Sheriff race saw incumbent Mike Scott win in a landslide against challenger Stephanie Eller.  Sheriff Scott received 85% of the votes.  He will face James Didio, who's not affiliated with any party.

The Lee County Supervisor of Elections race had 5 candidates facing one another, including incumbent Sharon Harrington, who led with 43% of the votes.  She will now face off with runner-up Tommy Doyle (33%) in a run-off in the general election, since neither candidate got 50% of the vote.

Candidates will also be competing to take over Curt Clawson's District 19 U.S. House seat he is vacating.  Developer Francis Rooney led that race with 50% of the votes, over Chauncey Goss (33%) and Dan Bognino (18%).

And in the U.S. Senate race, both Marco Rubio (R) and Patrick Murphy (D) earned big wins as expected in their respective parties.  The two will go head-to-head in November.
