LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Multiple sources tell Four in Your Corner six-to-eight students have been suspended in the case involving sex in the bathroom at South Fort Myers High School, and the girl involved may have a heartbreaking past.
An incident report revealed a 15-year-old girl admitted to having sex with multiple boys inside the bathroom at the school.
The report said 25 students were seen going into the bathroom during the time frame the girl was inside, but multiple sources tell us six-to-eight boys were suspended in this case.
A video of the incident has been circulating the school and social media.
Four in Your Corner learned the name of the girl in the video, and a search of her name revealed she went missing last year.
A flyer by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said she may be in the company of other young girls.
Through numerous sources, we have also learned this girl may have been a victim of human trafficking in the past.
We're told the girl recently transferred to South Fort Myers High School, and her family has now withdrawn her from the school district.
The suspensions of the six-to-eight football players are up to ten days.
The Student Code of Conduct says depending on the severity of the case, there could be a hearing to determine if these students are moved to the Alternative Learning Center, or they could be permanently expelled from the Lee County School District.
A School District Spokeswoman could not confirm any of this information, saying this information is protected by law and cannot be released.
She reassured us the students were disciplined within the guidelines of the Student Code of Conduct.
