COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Fire crews responded to a boat fire near Marco Island Monday that left a large boat totally charred.
The fire happened at the Isle of Capri Marina.
It started in 69-foot yacht, then spread to smaller boats tied up beside it.
A fire boat from Marco Island Fire and crews from Greater Naples Fire were both on scene, but the damage to the boat was extreme.
Firefighters are still investigating the fire, which caused an estimated $1 million damage.

An employee at a nearby restaurant called 911 as soon as he saw the flames. "We could feel the heat from it, and the wind changed, smoke filled the restaurant, it was definitely quite the sight. Everyone who lives on Capri was driving by, to see what was going on," said Drew Garner.
