GOLDEN GATE, Fla. -- The Collier County Sheriff's Office is investigating a death in Golden Gate.
A body was found floating in a canal near Santa Barbara Boulevard just north of Interstate 75, behind a home on Trafalgar Lane around 6:15 Wednesday evening.
The body was found by two fishermen boating in the area.
The man's body, which was stuck among some vegetation in the canal, was recovered by authorities and taken to the coroner's office for more research.
