Two injured in Cape Coral shootings Sunday night

UPDATE (10:15AM) -- Police say a 14-year-old Cape Coral boy was critically injured by gunfire Sunday evening, and another gunshot victim was found nearby.

According to Cape Coral Police, the 14-year-old boy suffered gunshot wounds to the face and back at a home in the 2200 block of NW Embers Terrace. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A search of the neighborhood revealed a 19-year-old man hiding in the yard of a home a few blocks away on SW 17th Place.  That man had a gunshot wound to the calf.

"This is an active investigation and our detectives are working to apprehend the suspect(s).  This was an isolated, narcotics-related incident between known parties and is not a random act," says Lieutenant Dana S. Coston of the Cape Coral Police Department.

An investigation continues.

Cape Coral Police are investigating a shooting with injuries in the 2200 block of NW Embers Terrace.

The shooting was reported around 8:30 PM.

Cape Coral Police say the suspect(s) fled the scene in a blue Toyota Camry or Corolla. They're described as two black males and one Hispanic male. They were last seen eastbound on NW Embers Terrace.
