ENGLEWOOD, Fla. -- Troopers have released the identities of the four people killed when troopers say their driver ran a stop sign Sunday.
It happened before 4 a.m. at Rosemont Drive and Sunnybrook Boulevard. Troopers say the driver of an Audi ran a stop sign on Rosemont Drive and collided with an SUV on Sunnybrooke Boulevard.
The Audi burst into flames, and all four people inside died at the scene.
A family of five in the SUV was also injured.
The four fatalities have been identified as 21-year-old Austin Hirschy (the driver), 25-year-old Keith Williams, 23-year-old Dustin Strong, and 20-year-old William Solomon, all of Port Charlotte.
The crash remains under investigation.
