FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Friends of a Fort Myers DJ, who was shot to death early Saturday morning, called him a positive spirit, Monday.

Rogerio Anjos, 32, better known by his stage name, Roger Brazil, got into a confrontation with three men outside Scarlett's Cabaret on Fowler Near Carrrel Road as they were leaving the club after closing. That fight escalated within minutes, and ended with one of the men shooting Anjos three times. He was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment, where he later died.

Wendy White, a long time friend of Anjos, tells Fox 4 he was not only a popular local DJ, but a business man. She said he was generous, and always willing to lend a helping hand. "We did a lot of different charity events, and Roger was always there to do events with us and he was there for anything," she said.

Scarlett's Cabaret tells Fox 4 they are dedicated to keeping a safe environment for their patrons, calling the incident a complete tragedy. They said they are fully cooperating with police and offer the family their condolences.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at Mullins Memorial at 3654 Palm Beach Blvd.  A family and friends viewing will take place from 4-6 P.M. followed by a service from 6-6:45 P.M. In an effort to help the family with costs, a GoFundMe has been established. You can donate at https://www.gofundme.com/rogerbrazil

All three men are described as black males in their 20's. They were last seen leaving the parking lot in a dark colored hatchback car with a yellow and blue New York State License plate.

If you have any information or know the suspects involved, you are asked to call FMPD or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
