FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Investigators are searching for three men they say used weapons to rob a Circle K store in Fort Myers early Friday morning.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, just before 4 a.m., three black men, armed with a shotgun, a handgun and an assault rifle, entered the Circle K, located at 10800 Metro Parkway, near Page Field, demanding the store’s cash.
The men ordered the two on-duty employees to the ground, while taking both of their cell phones and holding them at gunpoint. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects picked up two 18 packs of Corona beer and fled in what is believed to be a dark grey GMC Acadia with a white towel or t-shirt covering the license plate.
One suspect is described as having long dreads with burgundy colored tips, carrying a black rifle; the second suspect wore a black ski mask and all black clothing, and carried a black handgun; and the third suspect wore a grey beanie hat and covered most of his face with a red bandana. All three males were wearing blue gloves during the robbery.
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
