LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers say a North Fort Myers man crashed his car Tuesday while having a medical issue.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 75-year-old George Spadaro was driving north on Orange Grove Boulevard near the Lochmoor Waterway Estates neighborhood around 6:53 a.m. Tuesday.
That's when a medical issue caused Spadaro to drive off the right side of the road and hit a utility pole, before continuing across Vinsetta Avenue and hitting a tree.
He was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital in critical condition.
