LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- Southwest Florida's largest health system is getting a new skilled nursing unit.
Crews began construction Wednesday on Lee Health's newest facility, which will be on Plantation Road in Fort Myers.
When it's finished, it will provide post-acute services for local patients who need short-term medical recovery and rehabilitation.
The project is expected to be finished in 2019.
