The State Fire Marshall is investigating what caused a vehicle to go up in flames early Friday morning in front of a Lehigh Acres home.
The vehicle was deemed a total loss after the fire which left the silver Hyundai Elantra barely recognizable.
Lehigh Acres Fire and Rescue responded to the fire near 50th Street SW around 12:30 Friday morning.
The flames caused minor damage to the exterior of the home, but it was extinguished before spreading to the house. Our crew on scene saw a man and a young child exit the home while firefighters were putting out the blaze. Fortunately, no one was injured.
