SARASOTA COUNTY -- A fire on a vehicle hauler caused a backup in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 Wednesday.
It happened near mile marker 175 in North Port just before 11 a.m.
All southbound lanes were briefly shut down while fire crews exctinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
All lanes are open again and traffic is flowing smoothly in the area.
The truck and several vehicles on the trailer appear to be total losses.
