LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Troopers and fire officials are trying to figure out how a big rig caught fire Friday morning.

It happened around 5:45 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 near mile marker 144, just north of Bayshore Road.

Highway patrol tells us no one was injured.

As of 7 a.m., the fire has been extinguished and traffic is reduced to two northbound lanes but moving smoothly in the area.

No further details are available yet.
