The Mastec employee working on the power lines in Cape Coral has died from injuries according to a spokesperson from LCEC.

A utility worker was hurt Tuesday just before noon after touching power lines in Cape Coral.
The accident happened near SE 10th Street and 8th Avenue, not far from city hall. The accident has affected power in the area and multiple crews are on scene as the investigation continues.
Power is reported to be out at the nearby post office, and part of the tax collector's office next door is closed due to the power outage.
The worker's condition is not known and it's also unclear whether the worker is employed by LCEC, Mastec, or another utility.
