A man went more than the extra mile to return a dog back to its owner.
Animal Control in Maryland found and 8-year-old pitbull mix named Zimba and tracked him back to his owner in Kansas.
The dog's owner was tied up to make arrangements and when airlines said they wouldn't take Simba home the only option left was to drive.

When the journey was posted on the Humane Society's Facebook page, hundreds of people decided to help out by offering food, gas and prayers.
Zimba and his owner were eventually reunited.
