HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities say the body of a man has been recovered from Lake Okeechobee, where two boaters went missing earlier this month.
Florida Fish and Wildlife says a fisherman found the body Thursday morning near Clewiston. This just days after someone found the body of a woman elsewhere in the lake.
They're believed to 72-year-old John Russ and his 62-year-old wife, Diane. The Myakka City couple were reported missing on February 7th after they ventured out into the lake on an airboat.
The body found Thursday was about 15 miles from where their boat was found, and about 3.5 miles from where the woman's body was found on February 13th.
The medical examiner must confirm their identities.
