Power outages are beginning in some communities in southwest Florida overnight Saturday, and officials with Florida Power and Light say "millions" could lose power before Hurricane Irma is over.

"This is really only the beginning," Bryan Garner with Florida Power and LIght told Fox 4. "This is a historic storm, as you've seen, and we do expect that millions of customers could be impacted by this before it's all said and done."
But Florida Power and Light say they're ready. "We have amassed the largest restoration force in the history of the country to respond to Hurricane Irma. Right now, more than 16,000 workers have descended on the state from 30 states, including Canada."
"They have staged at various locations around the state, and they will actually move to the places that are hardest hit by this storm," Garner continued.
