There's not much going on in Punta Gorda or Port Charlotte that FOX 4's Alex Orenczuk hasn't caught wind of.
Since joining the news team as a multimedia journalist in January 2024, Alex has been dedicated to personally connecting with his neighbors across Charlotte County to find the stories that matter most to them. From local politics and hurricane recovery, to development, water quality, crime and breaking news, Alex is there for it all.
Originally from London, Ontario, Alex went to college in Kansas and Louisiana before stepping into the news industry as a reporter and anchor for KALB News Channel 5 in Alexandria, La.
Alex quickly fell in love with the Southwest Florida lifestyle. When he’s not at work - he’s living the dream. He spends most of his time fishing around Charlotte Harbor, soaking up the sunshine or looking for the best local restaurants.
Alex works as the Community Correspondent for Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Englewood, Rotunda, El Jobean, and much of Charlotte County.
