UPDATE:
A 39 year old male is dead after a two vehicle crash on the Cape Coral Bridge. FHP says the male was traveling east a moped on the bridge in front of SUV. The SUV rear-ended the moped, causing the male to become separated from the moped. The crash remains under investigation.

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday the East bound lanes of the Cape Coral bridge were shut down due to a crash.
Emergency vehicles could be seen on the bridge and blocking off the road right before the bridge on the west side at Del Prado Blvd and Cape Coral Parkway.
The bridge into Fort Myers also had an accident at SE 17th place heading west bound.
No word yet on what caused the crash.
