PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — The Department of Transportation is working on West Olympia Avenue (Highway 17) and Sullivan Street in the downtown Punta Gorda area due to a sinkhole.
Crews say the problem will take some time to fix and the right lane of West Olympia Avenue will be closed.
Motorists who are traveling in the area or find an alternative route.
