CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A man is dead following a crash on Kings Highway in Port Charlotte Thursday.
Florida Highway Patrol says the 69-year-old man was driving north in the left turn lane of Kings Highway around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday night.
Troopers say when he was approaching Midway Boulevard he traveled off the roadway and hit a traffic sign.
They say he was later pronounced dead.
The crash is under investigation.
