Dominga Murray joined Fox 4 as a multiskilled journalist in May 2023. Originally from Richmond, Virginia she spent years of her life directing the non-profit foodbank, Helping Hands, in the Commonwealth. She's received thousands of dollars in scholarship funds for female philanthropy and through her involvement with the Miss America Organization.
She's no stranger to the microphone as a seasoned professional emcee and vocalist. Before joining the Fox 4 team she worked as a reporter, producer, forecaster, and morning anchor in Charlottesville, Virginia at NBC29. She planned the Race For Hunger, providing more than 20,000 pounds of food to those living in and around the Charlottesville area.
Before her move to the Sunshine State, she toured the Commonwealth's grade schools to give weather-related presentations, advocate for people experiencing food insecurity, and read her book which educates on childhood hunger.
Her former reporting included coverage during the gubernatorial election in Virginia, including interviews with United States and Virginia Senators.
Ian's decimation brought Dominga to Southwest Florida, wanting to work in a region with a need for strong journalism and community-based stories.
Hollins, Virginia Commonwealth, and Yale Universities are the schools that built Dominga's journalistic background. In her spare time, she's cuddled with her rescue cat Mochi or you'll find her at the beach with her dog Caesar.
