ESTERO, Fla. — A Lee County Sheriff deputy was taken to hospital and is recovering after sustaining minor injuries while assisting Florida Highway Patrol with traffic control.

LCSO says multiple deputies were assisting FHP with an earlier crash on I-75 near Corkscrew Road.
While conducting traffic control, a single vehicle crashed into multiple LCSO cruisers. LCSO says the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
