Cape Coral woman wins $1 million jackpot in Florida Lottery scratch-off game

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Cape Coral woman is cashing a $770,000 check after winning a $1 million jackpot from a scratch off ticket bought in Fort Myers.

According to the Florida Lottery, 68-year-old Sandy Sheehy bought a $30 "Florida 100X the Cash" ticket at a Racetrac on Cleveland Avenue and Edison Avenue in Fort Myers. That ticket won her one of 20 available $1 million jackpots.

The game also offers eight top prizes of $15 million.

Sheehy chose to receiver her winnings as a one-time lump payment of $770,000.

The convenience store that sold her the ticket also earned a $2,000 bonus.
