Clewiston woman wins $1M playing Florida lottery scratch-off game

CLEWISTON, Fla. --- A Clewiston woman cashed-in on a big prize after playing the Florida Lottery. 

On Monday, Brenda Rivera, 37, claimed a $1 million dollar top prize in the Florida 20X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. 

Lottery officials confirming in an press release, Rivera chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $770,000.00

Rivera brought her winning ticket from Walmart Market Fuel Station, located at the 1900 block of West Hickpochee Avenue in Labelle. 

The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket. 

The new $5 game, FLORIDA 20X THE CASH, launched January 15, and features 14 top prizes of $1 million, and more than $110 million in cash prizes.
