Florida man wins $15 million jackpot on scratch-off ticket

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- A central Florida man has won the $15 million top prize on a Florida Lottery scratch-off game.

According to the Florida Lottery, 53-year-old Rodrigo Hernandez of Leesburg purchased his winning ticket in the "Florida 100x the Cash" game at AA Discount Beverage on West Kings Highway in Center Hill.

The $30 game was launched last year and features eight top prizes of $15 million, as well as 20 prizes of $1 million.

Hernandez chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $11,175,000.

The retailer will receive a $30,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
