FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Fort Myers man won big this week - and he got the big check to prove it!

Adam Janowski claimed a $1 million prize in the new FLORIDA 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee, the Florida Lottery said.

Janowski decided to receive his winnings as a one-time payment of $770,000.

“I thought I was going to have a heart attack," he said. "I couldn’t believe it!”

The winning ticket was purchased at the Publix on Dani Drive in Fort Myers - making it a winner, too. Publix will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
