Lottery jackpot won by Port Charlotte woman

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. --- A lucky Florida woman is a lot richer tonight after buying a winning a ticket at a local convenience store. 

21-year-old Marilu Aguirre has claimed her $2,000,000 prize at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

According to lottery officials, Aguirre purchased a $2,000,000 Cashword scratch-off ticket for $10 at the Racetrac on Sandhill Boulevard in Port Charlotte. 

The $2,000,000 Cashword game was launched in August 2017 and offers prizes from $1,000 to 2 million.
