LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- UPDATED: One lucky person in Southwest Florida is the winner of the Powerball jackpot worth $394 million dollars.
The winning ticket for the January 29 drawing was sold at a 7-Eleven store on Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs.
The winning numbers were 9, 12, 15, 31, 60 with 2 as the Powerball.
The winner can choose to have the $396.9 million jackpot paid over thirty years or take a one-time lump sum of $274.6 million. Per Florida law, the winner has six months to come forward to claim the prize.
There were a total of 108,156 winning tickets sold in Florida for Wednesday's drawing. One tickets sold in the state matched all five white numbers and is worth $1 million. Four tickets matched four numbers and the Powerball and are each worth $50,000.
Wednesday's Powerball jackpot was the largest since a Wisconsin man won $768.4 million in a March 27, 2019 drawing.
Two multi-state lottery games are offering ever-increasing jackpots this week, including one nearing the $400 million mark.
First up is the Mega Millions game, which offers a $141 million jackpot in Tuesday night's drawing.
But it's the PowerBall drawing on Wednesday night that has players seeing dollar signs. The multi-state game has now gone 24 drawings without a winner, pushing the current jackpot up to $394 million this week.
That makes it the largest PowerBall jackpot since a ticket worth $768.4 million was bought by a Wisconsin man in March 2019.
Players must select five numbers between 1 through 69, and one PowerBall number from 1 through 26, and have them selected in the drawing at 11 p.m. Tickets sales stop at 10 p.m. the night of the drawing.
Remember, you can watch all the drawings live on Fox 4, the official Florida Lottery station in Southwest Florida.
