LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Sanibel man just missed winning the PowerBall jackpot in Saturday night's drawing, but still won an impressive $2 million prize.
According to the Florida Lottery, 59-year-old Glen Farris purchased his winning Quick Pick ticket in Fort Myers at the Publix on Summerlin Road near McGregor Boulevard. His ticket matched the five white balls in the drawing, but not the PowerBall.
The Publix earned a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket. Lottery officials did not disclose whether Farris accepted the lump sum or annual payments.
