SARASOTA, Fla. -- A Florida man seems to have the winning touch when it comes to scratch-off Florida Lottery tickets, having recently won $1 million for the 2nd time.
60-year-old Lubomir Richvalsky of Sarasota just claimed his lump-sum payment of $748,000 in Tallahassee after buying a winning $1 million ticket in the World Class Cash game at the Publix on Central Sarasota Parkway.
That store will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Back in 2014, Richvalsky also won the $1 million prize on a scratch-off ticket he bought at a convenience store near that same Publix.
For that jackpot, he took home over $689,000 as a lump-sum payment.
According to the Florida Lottery, scratch-off tickets account for 68% of ticket sales, and generated more than $784 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund in fiscal year 2016-17.
