FORT MYERS, Fla. — State and county leaders met Saturday morning to officially open the Hurricane Ian Remembrance and Children’s Engineering Garden at Lakes Park.
Senator Johnathon Martin joined the Lee County Commissioners for the ribbon cutting.
The 2023 Florida Engineering Leadership Institute designed, built and raised money for the park. The Institute raised more than $100,000 to help communities hurt from Hurricane Ian.
