FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Beer, music, and great food were all key ingredients to Millennial Brewing Company’s Annual Oktoberfest celebration Saturday.
There were some familiar faces in the crowd such as Fox 4’s Chris Shaw and Patrick Nolan.
The event also brought out new Oktoberfest fans such as Claus Nielson from Denmark who is in town for a friend’s wedding.
“Everyone is very friendly,” said Nielson. “I like the atmosphere here and I like the music.”
He said he was having a great time, but he stuck to his hometown roots when we asked him who had the best beer, America or Denmark.
“That’s a tough one,” he said. “But I’m a patriot. So of course, Denmark.”
One look at the menu though and some might disagree with Claus. There are endless food choices and over 30 house-made craft beers.
Another big hit at the event was the live music.
Mad Soul, one of the live bands that performed at the event, stuck around even after they were don’t playing great music for all ages.
“We play a lot, blues rock reggae all kinds of stuff,” said Mad Soul band member Jarrod White.
The lead singer of the band said their shift was over for the day, but the fun was just getting started.
“We’re going to hang out to watch the Wild Boys, we’re very excited, said Maggie Potts. “Right now, it’s all Oktoberfest.”
