Update March 5 4:30 pm:
Minutes after a white pickup truck hit a Lehigh school bus on Eisenhower Blvd and Grant around seven Wednesday morning, a woman told Fox 4, she pulled over and couldn't believe what she was seeing.

She told Lehigh Acres Community Correspondent Ella Rhoades she got goosebumps when she saw children wandering around, outside of the bus.

The woman described seeing damage to the side of the school bus and said the front of the truck was smashed in.

The school district said the truck driver was at fault for the crash, but investigators haven't confirmed that.

The residents who live at the home where the bus crash told Fox 4, this is the third time gone on their property from a car accident.

The Lee County School District said 20 students were on their way to Amanecer Elementary School when the bus ended up in the front lawn of a home.

The tire tracks show the bus veering off the road stopping right before the driveway.

The school district said the students and the bus driver had cuts and bruises, but didn't need to go to the hospital.

Mariah Foster, whose children go to a different Lehigh school, said this is one of many reasons why her kids don't ride the bus anymore.

"Being at work and you get a text that your kid was on the bus and the bus was in accident and you dont know the details or exactly what happened. No it's very scary," Foster said.

She added that it's the risk you take sending your child on the bus.

Foster said, "It's just so scary you hate to hear about it."

As for the driver in the pick up truck, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said they went to the hospital after the crash.

Rhoades reached out to the company listed on the truck's passenger door, but they didn't get back to her.
