The areas of Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Naples are going to be filled with activities for the entire family, including your furry friends! Enjoy dogs shows, beer and ice cream in benefit of the senior animals, events for the homeless animals and even a honeybee hoopla! And don't forget to walk around the River District to enjoy great music during Music Walk event.

Music Walk at the River District
FORT MYERS - Every third Friday of the month, enjoy live sounds during Downtown Fort Myers’ Music Walk. Join local and regional musicians as they line the streets of the River District. Groove to a wide range of music from jazz and blues to rock, drum circles, and more. This is a free event!

FORT MYERS - What better way to beat the summer heat than with some beer and ice cream! Join Young Professionals for Animal Protection for a beer and ice cream pairing, on Saturday, August 19th. All while supporting Senior Paws Sanctuary at Point Ybel Brewing Company with Love Boat Home Made Ice Cream. Come enjoy a beer float and bring the kids for their own scoop of ice cream. There will be some great items to raffle off so be sure to bring some cash! Best of all there will be some sweet senior pups to meet and fall in love with!

Just for Fun Dog Show
CAPE CORAL - Spend a day of fun with your dog and you family at the popular Just for Fun Dog Show at Rotary Park. This will be an entertaining and fun event, with prizes for The Best Costume, Longest Ears, Bad Hair Day Dog, Cutest Dog, Best Kisser, Best in Show, and much more!

International Homeless Animals' Day at the Shell Factory
FORT MYERS - Saturday August 19th is International Homeless Animals' Day, therefore, The Lee County Domestic Animal Service will be hosting an adoption day event at The Shell Factory with several animal rescue organizations of SWFL such as Bo Nose Rescue, A Roof For Roofus Rescue, ARC, Callosa Humane Society, Suncoast Aqua Dogs, Up Beat K9, Gulf Coast Fudge, and Fur N Tails. There will be animal related vendors, live entertainment and lots of fun!

Honeybee Hoopla - Family Fun Day
NAPLES - Saturday August 19th is also National Honey Bee Day, and the The Conservancy Nature Center of Southwest Florida is going to celebrate it with their Honeybee Hoopla Family Fun Day Event. They will have a variety of engaging activities such as games, crafts, and more, as well as the regular activities such as electric boat tours, kayak rentals and the Little Explorer Play Zone. Kids get in free to this event!
