5 Things to do this Weekend in July 28 to 30 in Southwest Florida

The list of our top five events and things to do this weekend in Southwest Florida is filed with entertainment for the entire family.

There will be live animal shows, big backpack event, adaptive fitness challenge event, end of summer bash and a small business vendor fair. All these events will be happening in the areas of Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Naples.


Friday July 28

Live Animal Show

CAPE CORAL - The Cape Coral Yacht Club will be featuring a live animal show complete with a variety of reptiles, birds, amphibians and arachnids, including a 12' python, a baby alligator, a dove, small and large tortoises, geckos, bearded dragons, spiders and scorpions. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Saturday July 29

Naples Small Business Vendor Fair

NAPLES - The Naples Small Business Vendor Fair Shop will be filled with different local small business owners. You'll have an opportunity to learn about new products and services in Naples. There will be a complimentary wine tasting, shopping with local vendors, Hors D'oeuvre, raffle prizes, door prizes and live music.

Event time: From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Adaptive Fitness Challenge

FORT MYERS -  This massive All-Inclusive Adaptive Athlete Challenge is being held at CrossFit ATC & Around The Clock Fitness in Fort Myers, FL. It was created to get people active and involved in the fitness community through physical challenges and support. There will be indoor child care, food, fun and much more!

Sunday July 30

18th Annual Big Backpack Event

FORT MYERS- Lee County families are invited to celebrate back-to-school and multiculturalism. Enjoy live multicultural youth entertainment on the main stage that includes hip hop, salsa, Irish step dance and more. Kids will enjoy facepainting, book mobile, giveaways, vendors, and more. The first 2,000 or more children age 5-12 will receive free backpacks and school supplies while last. This is a free event.

End of Summer Bash

FORT MYERS - Edison Park 8 Cinemas will be hosting an End of Summer Bash! There will be carnival games, a bounce house, team games, painting, and giveaways that include shoes and school supplies, but only while supplies last. Everything is first come, first serve! This is a free event.
