Participants on Fort Myers Beach attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the largest human image of a seashell on Thursday, June 21st in honor of National Seashell Day.
The Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB) asked for the community's help to make this happen. Currently, the title is held by Shell and Turcas A.S. with 855 participants in October 2017. VCB's goal is to take the title with more than 1,000 people on the beach to form the seashell.
The final product will be completed at 11:30 a.m. Follow #NationalSeaShellDay to keep up with their progress.
