Calusa Palooza canoe, kayak and stand-up paddleboard race begins Saturday

The third annual Calusa Palooza canoe, kayak and stand-up paddleboard races begin Saturday, April 7th, at Koreshan State park for participants of all ages.

The Estero River race is an American Canoe Association-sanctioned race that includes an 8-mile race, a 4-mile race and a free quarter-mile Calusa Kids Race.

The event is free for spectators, but you still have time to register to participate. There will be free kayaks and stand-up paddleboards available at the event on a first come, first serve basis.

Pre-registration is required for participants with a cost of $35. Proceeds from this event benefit summer camp for underprivileged youth. To register, click here.

Calusa Palooza is located at 3800 Corkscrew Road in Estero and check in begins at 8 a.m. Races begin at 9:15 a.m. and the Calusa Kids Race begins at 10:30 a.m. For more event information, you can call Minchew at (239)-992-2184.
