Local nonprofit offers creative summer camp

Alliance for the Arts, a nonprofit organization in Fort Myers, invites kids to discover their creative abilities by taking part in visual and performing arts through their themed summer camps.

Alliance camps focus on painting and visual arts, theater, music, dance and come together for a performance each Friday afternoon. The theme this week is called, "Trapped in a video game."

Teen volunteer opportunities are also available. To be a volunteer, you must be at least 14-years-old and will assist the summer arts camp education team. 

The Alliance for the Arts campus and galleries are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Summer camps run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
