Local soccer team hosts home opener to raise money for Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation

The Florida Gulf Coast Dutch Lions FC semi-pro women's soccer team hosts their home opening games on Saturday and Sunday with family-friendly tailgating, games and food while raising money for the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation.

Activities this weekend include pre-game tailgating, 3v3 soccer games, flip cup, corn hole, a water balloon toss, a dunk tank, banner contest and food trucks.

Saturday's activities begin at 2 p.m. and the game starts at 4 p.m. Sunday's activities begin at 11 a.m. and the game starts at 1 p.m. 

The team plays the Florida Tropics SC at the North Fort Myers Community Park. Admission is $7 for Saturday's and Sunday's games.
