The Naples Therapeutic Riding Center received a $12,000 grant from Swing With Purpose to help fund programs for women and children with special needs.
The riding center is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of women and children with emotional, learning and developmental disabilities by providing therapeutic horseback riding and other equine-facilitated group services.
The funded program provides tailored learning and psychotherapy services to participants from PACE Center for Girls and the Shelter for Abused Women and Children. Children and teens who are at-risk will attend 8-week sessions working directly with horses while working with groups to help improve their lives.
