Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary rescues threatened, abused animals

The Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many exotic animals rescued from abused, threatened or unwanted situations. This non-profit also includes species who are endangered.

Lions, tigers, bears, reptiles and birds are some of the species that reside there to name a few. Visiting the sanctuary is all self-guided. It's open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. year-round, and on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. from November to May.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for Seniors 55+ and children 8 to 17. Admission is free for children 7-years-old and under. For large groups, you can call (239)-543-1130 for more information.
