The 14th annual Hibiscus Festival kicks off with live music, exotic plant sales, the Lil' Miss Hibiscus Pageant and more on Friday, May 4th through Sunday, May 6th at Gilchrist Park in Punta Gorda.
Friday night begins with a live music fest from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Saturday, the opening ceremony begins at 10 and continues with exotic plant sales, a vintage car display, live music, craft vendors, sweet and savory food options and a Lil' Miss Hibiscus Pageant. The festival closes at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Finally, on Sunday, the exotic plant sale continues with food, music and crafts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You can also bring non-perishable food items to help fill food pantries here in Southwest Florida. Admission is $1 and proceeds benefit the Charlotte County Historical Center Society, Chakulla and the Hunger Bus, Singing out for Food.
