Punta Gorda celebrates Founders Day beginning December first with candy canes and Santa Claus in the Punta Gorda History Park.
The event runs everyday until December 7th from 5 tp 8 p.m. and includes visits from Santa, Christmas cookie decorating, live music, and decorated historic houses.
Kids under 15-years-old get in free, and they're asking adults for a $10 donation.
