For the first time, Red Bull Privateers will be in Marco Island for a two and a half hour stand up paddle board race in search of hidden treasure on Saturday, February 10th.
According to Red Bull Privateers, back in the early 1700's, Captain Calico Jack left tales of hidden treasure on Ten Thousand Island in Southwest Florida and legend has it, there is still treasure hidden throughout the islands to this day.
In an event inspired by history, professional and amateur Red Bull stand up paddle board athletes, in teams of four, will compete in a two and a half hour race through mangrove mazes in search of gold doubloons from 15 different treasure chests throughout the islands.
