LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A premiere travel website is showing lots of love for several Southwest Florida cities when it comes to vacationing in Florida.
TripAdvisor recently released their list of '20 Best Places to Vacation in Florida', which includes five cities in Lee and Collier counties.
Their selections were made based on cities and towns that had the highest-quality rentals and top review scores on TripAdvisor.
The list includes:
Naples -- "Start with some retail therapy along Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South, pausing to watch the world go by in one of the welcoming watering holes."
Cape Coral -- "For a more peaceful water-bound activity, rent paddleboards or kayaks and set off with a guide into the balmy barrier island waters."
Fort Myers -- "Among the town’s key sights are Thomas Edison and Henry Ford’s Winter Estates, where you can tour the laboratory, buildings, and grounds used by the two men. "
Sanibel Island -- "On blissful Sanibel, you can spend your days at the beach watching the birds or combing through the thousands of pretty shells that wash up on the sands."
Marco Island -- "It’s one of Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands, and you can tackle its many waterways by boat, board, or on a jet ski tour—watch out for those dolphins!"
