Young athlete heads to Augusta National for championship competition

9-year-old Jensi Kamprel prepares for the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship on Sunday, April first, which is a nationwide golf development initiative designed to inspire youth to choose golf as sa lifetime pursuit. 

When she was 2-years-old, her dad introduced her to the game and she says she's been playing ever since. She says for good luck, she marks her balls with blue dots before her tournaments.

The Drive, Chip and Putt Championship will be broadcasted from the Golf Channel on Sunday. It's designed for ages seven to 15. The top 80 performers each year earn the opportunity to compete in the National Finals at the Augusta Nationals, home of the Masters Tournament.

Registration for next years championship will open in January.
