The Center for Auto Safety, a nonprofit auto safety group, says nearly 3 million Kia's and Hyundai's need to be recalled.
According to Fortune, it's due to widespread reports of the vehicles catching fire.
They say the companies should recall the 2011-2014 Kia Sorrento, Kia Optima, Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Santa Fe, and the 2010-2015 Kia Soul models.
The group says there have been more than 220 consumer complaints regarding non-collision fires in these vehicles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the fires.
